    2. Dear Lois, Sorry for the error it was a typo. Matilda Elizabeth Pinkerton appears in the 1900 census as you said. She was not in the 1910 census for Oklahoma. I am wondering if she could be buried in a surrounding county? I do not think she went back to Kansas. There was nothing for her to go back to. Maybe she went with Mr. Nelson? My g grandfather Charles was married in1897. I have a copy of the marriage liscence where she signed for him to be married. He took over her claim to farm from the land rush after they were married. I have a copy of the obit for Charles Pinkerton but do not have one for Edna who died in 1955. I can still remember her. I think I was 8 when she died. Any and all help appreciated. Any suggestions also. thanks. jim pinkerton

    3. Jim, I am Lois Goodpasture Burdick and I live in Enid, OK and am a member of the Garfield Co. genealogist. I will be glad to try and help you find information on your Gr GrandMother. First you say that you found them on the 1910 census and think she died 1905? Did you mean the 1900 census? I also found them in 1900 in Hackberry twns. She is listed as a wd having had 8 childreb and only one living (how sad). Her son-in- law living with her also two grandchildren. Joseph Nelson. In the 1901 city and county directory I have list her as Mrs. M.E. pinkerton, says she transfered pt. s/w 12-21-6 to Charles E. Pinkerton..I found a marriage record for Charles E, Pinkerton in our index number 481. This index is from 1893-1909.. I also found a record for Joseph Nelson 3506 so it would have been a later marriage. I was surprised that I didn't find a cemetry record for her. I have Enid Cemetery Books, Garfield Co., Cathloic records, etc. . I looked at the Probate records and didn't find any Pinkerton's listed from 1893-1916. On her land record I see the name of where she came from listed at Alix?? I couldn't find a record of where that might be. Maybe she was returned to where her husband died and buried? In the Enid Cemetery I found Charles E. Pinkerton 1877-May 1945 buried the 23rd Mary E. 1877-July 29, 1955 we have an obit in our file Betty June June 9, 1920-Dec. 1, 1925 Infant Pinkerton Aug. 15, 1926. In another plot I found Bertha Pinkerton, Nov. 4, 1883-Jan. 3, 1954 w/o Rev. Thomas Thomas, Rev. Pinkerton. In 1905 Tax records I found C.E. Pinkerton living in Waukomis City. If you would like a obit for Charles Pinkerton I can look to see if our old newspapers have one. Hope this is of some help. Lois Have you looked at the Garfield Co. records on the Genealogy web page? On the bottom of your email find a link to my web page. On the right side you will find a link to the page. Look around and let me know if we can be of more help. 3. I am looking for information on Mary & Chas. T. Gardner family who lived in Garfield Co. OK late 1800's, early 1900's. Mary's maiden name was STIDGER - they married in Ohio. I'm interested in Mary's sister, Clara Stidger, who married Levi Hampton in Ohio 1875. They moved to Iowa where Levi died in 1882. Clara Stidger Hampton apparently left their hometown, Fairfield, Iowa. I've been unable to find what happened to her. Any help on these people would be appreciated. Thanks. Juanita A.

    3. Hi Lois, If I may, I would like to take you up on your most gracious offer to do lookups in Garfield County. I have been trying to find any evidence of my WIER/WEIR family line in Enid from 1899 to 1920. I know my GGrandparents were divorce in Enid in 1899. After that I've lost track of them until around 1920. They had 6 children at the time: Dora M., Walter Bell, James Monore (my grandfather), John W., Carol and Charles Bryan WIER. Martha WIER had custody of the children after the divorce from Robert N. WIER. Anything you might be able to find on them, especially Martha SMITH-WIER would be greatfully appreciated. I am also looking for an Obit or burial records on Wanda Blanche BULLOCK-WIER, b. July 11,1927, d. Oct.8, 1995. and is buried in Enid Cemetery. Thank you for any help you may be able to give...Jim Wheeler At 07:19 PM 01/16/2000 CST, you wrote: > >Ok, Here it is. 2. Kathleen
    3. Dear List Members: My name is Kathleen Burnett. I am a cousin of Tammi Chada your past List Mom. I know I am stepping into a very large pair of shoes and will try hard to make them fit. I am a mother of four married children, and grandmother of nine. I am a list mom for over 40 mailing lists - some of them very large such as the Smith List with over 1000 members - you can see a list of them at http://www.angelfire.com/ut/kburnett2/mailing4.html I work full time outside of my home, but I am always as close as the e-mail. You can reach me at work kburnett@wbhg.com and or at home k.burnet@efortress.com I am a hands on List Mom and watch the my lists very closely. I want to help you have the kind of list you want. I encourage the sharing of genealogical information especially dealing with the subject of our list. I discourage the posting of non genealogical information such as political and religious messages, advertisements, virus warnings, etc. If you have something of this nature you would like to post - you should send it to me first so we can talk about it. If by chance one of our new members send out something of this nature - don't respond, know that I am taking care of it. Roll Calls are fine, if they are called for by me. I will give a beginning date and an ending date. If you feel the need of one, contact me and I will call for it. The one thing I do not allow on any of my list is cruelty to one another. If you have a problem with one of our members then I suggest you work it out in private with that person or contact me so I can step in. We need to remember that each of us are from different walks of life, parts of the world, different degrees of education, different degrees of expertise in family research, different politics and religions and many different ages groups. Sometimes these difference lead to mis-understandings. I love being a List Mom - Know that I am here for you. I am looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months. Please always feel free to contact me if you have need of me. Kathleen Burnett List Mom To learn more about my world visit http://dwp.bigplanet.com/kburnett

    2. Please let me know how I could possibly obtain a copy of death certificates for John Rogers who died in Tulsa, OK in 1929 and Mary Kincaid Rogers who died in Tulsa, OK in 1936. I am afraid that that is all of the information I have on each of these two death requests. Hopefully someone will be able to find them with it or let me know how I can narrow the date field down some. Thanks Suzanne Rogers
