Ms. Burdick, I have relatives by the last name of Hamilton from the Burlington area that settled there after the land run. They also ran the Hamilton Flour Co. in Kiowa, KS. I am searching the following names in Garfield Co: NORMAN &, MARTIN I had the following gr-grandmother who lived in Garfield Co ca 1915. Nancy Ann MEADOWS MARTIN NYE m. Wm. M. ZASTROW (who I believe she divorced like she did Peter MARTIN, John C. NYE) as her death certificate from Logan Co OK 5 Nov 1915 states her name as Nancy MEADOWS. The family story says that she got sick and left a trunk with neighbors that contained the family Bible. When her sons came to retrieve the trunk after her death, they denied having the trunk. After all these years I wonder if this Bible still exists, which would be a miracle. The Bible would be Peter MARTIN/MORTIN b. Sweden and Nancy Ann MEADOWS b.
