    3. Lynn, There is a Mary A. Cupp.. only gives the birth date-but gives a burial plot number??? Nov. 9, 1909- Origional sec. Q, L70 The Enid Cemetery is the oldest in Enid, but there was a bruial ground before 1900 and most were moved to the Enid Cemetery. In the early 1920 s Memorial Park was started and now is the largest. I also have the Garfield Co. Cemetery books. The Garfield Co. Genealogist, Inc have information on our web site and will be adding more as space permits. 2. I was wondering if anyone had access to old newspaper clippings. I have a letter from my greatgrandmother dated 1953. She speaks about a funeral and states there was a newspaper clipping but doesn't mention the name of the person who died. I am hoping to find out who it was and obtain the info. in the obit. The date it would have been in the paper was April 26th, 1953, Sunday edition of the Enid Newspaper. If anyone can help me with this quest I would really appreciate it. She writes that the family donated toward a blanket to cover the coffin, so I feel sure this must be a member of the immediate family. Thanks in advance, Angie

    1. [OKGARFIELD] PLEASE FORGIVE - FROM LIST MOM
    2. Kathleen
    3. Please forgive. My system went crazy and it sent out duplications of each message to several of the mailing lists. I am almost afraid to send out an apologize and have it just do the same thing again. :( I sat here and watched it happened and did not know what to do to stop it. Talk about feeling out of control. 1. [OKGARFIELD] From List Mom - Please Read
    2. Kathleen
    3. As you can see, the lists are getting busier now that the holidays are over. Just a few suggestions to make them smoother. If you see a posting come across the list asking to be unsubscribed or asking for help in any area that I deal with, know that I am taking care of it behind the scenes and you don't need to worry about it. If you post a query, try to put the surname in the subject line in CAPS and add dates if possible. Just keep in mind, we do have list members who delete the postings by only reading what is in the subject line, and never reading the body of the message. If you have a problem with a posting, meaning you think it should not have been posted. Please do not send your remarks to the entire list. Let me know your concerns and I will take care of it if I have not already. If you need me, to help you in anyway, you can reach me at kburnet@efortress.com I thank each of you for your continued support of this list and your willingness to help one another. I continually am in awe of the generosity of genealogical researchers. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    1. [OKGARFIELD] One or Two little Kellett Graves lost in Time
    2. Kathleen
    3. We have been trying for years to find the burial spots of two little baby boys, (twins). They were born in 1899 and died within a few days of their birth. It is said in the family that they were buried in Oklahoma, no county is known and it also said that a marked stone was place on their grave or graves before the family moved on with the last name of KELLETT on it. The only sister of these two little ones, a cousin of mine, died before she could locate these graves. I have taken up the torch. If you have seen such a grave I would love to hear from you. 2. Lois, This sure does look like the Anna Urban that I have been trying to find for several years now. You mentioned some probate papers that were issued a few days after her death. Do you have any idea if those probate papers are available so that copies can be made of them? Do you know whether her grave site has any marker on it? Maybe the probate papers would give more information on who was involved in the probate. I can't thank you enough for this information. If you can think of any other information that might be available like obit in local paper at that time or property records. Again, this is really great and I appreciate your efforts to provide me with this information. Mel Besthorn

    2. Hi again Lois, I noticed that your last name is Burdick and am wondering if you are/might be related to the Burdick's of Michigan. My stepmother mother's mother maiden name was Mae Burdick (Nov 1877-30 Jun 1928) MI. Her grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Burdick (18 Sep 1846-10 Feb 1939) MI. Great grandfather was Daniel Robinson Burdick (3 Mar 1818-25 Dec 1906) born in Geneseo, Livingston Co., NY and died in Barry Co., MI. I have a few other Burdick members back to Stonington, New London Co., CT and back to England. Please respond if this is any help to you. Mike
