I've just recently started researching my great-grandfather's side of the family which we think has some Indian ties. Family legend says that my great-great-grandmother was at least 50% Cherokee or Apache and I know that 2 of her children were born in Bokehito, Indian Territory in 1902 and 1904. (Information I got out of a family Bible so the spelling may be off.) I've been trying to trace the route of the family and I know the family was in Texas in 1898 and then in Stephens County, OK for the 1910 census, but in between they were in Indian Territory. How do I go about finding where "Bokehito" was in Indian Territory? Any pointers?
