Johnson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> References: <[email protected]> Robert, I have a feeling you will be overwhelmed with requests, but I thought I would go ahead and give you the basics of my search anyway and see what happens. I am searching for any information on HENRY CLAY JOHNSON and his wife NANCY ANN JOHNSON. The two were married in ILL. in 1866 and homesteaded land in Creek County five miles NE of Paden sometime in the late 1870s. They lived there through the 1890s and raised nine children- AMOS, PATRICK HENRY, LAVINA, JIM, JOHN, SAM, EVERETT, TOM, TRENT. Nancy was part Indian (possibly Creek) and was deeded 40 acres of land by the government somewhere in Creek County. The deeded land could have been near the land where they were homesteading NE of Paden, but unsure. The land they were homesteading was leased to them by Creek Subordinate Chief Jackson Night. One of their Children, JIM JOHNSON was the only child to remain in OK and he was eventually given the farm. He married a woman named EFFIE and after JIM died she took over ownership of the farm. I would imagine they're children own the farm today, or the farm was sold when she passed-on. I would be interested in finding any information on these relatives, especially JIM JOHNSON because he was probably buried near Paden in Creek County. Thanks for your valuable time, Eric Clay Johnson ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Marden <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, May 14, 1999 3:40 AM Subject: [OKCREEK-L] free offer > Friends, I have received several kind responses to my note on Luella > Radell Marden.
