He was a boxer...Prizefighter it was called in those days, and was killed in the ring in 1892/93. He had a daughter named Rosa Ethel (Powers)Walls. She is buried in the Oilton Cemetery and there might be some information on her stone, or a John Powers buried nearby. If any one could go do a lookup for me, I'd be so grateful. I don't know John's wife's name at all ... this leaves me stuck. And I don't know anything about John's folk either. Or where he came from. It might mention something on Rosa Ethel Walls death certificate. She died in 1935. I will try to look that up here (here is in Utah) at the Family History Library run by the Mormons here. I am also looking for information on Phillip Adkins who died in Okla. in 1911. His wife Emma died in 1900. I don't know anything about them except that they had a daughter Emma Jane who married my gg-grandfather Bert Kramer (Albert Leonard Kramer) in 1912 in Avard, Woods, OK. and he died in Oklahoma.
