Marcia, All 3 happened in the early 1920s. They are discussed in the books by Newsome. One was the assistant preacher at First Baptist in Drumright. He disappeared on a Wednesday nite and was never seen again. They are not sure where his body is. They found his clothes in a bundle. The clothes were bloody, and they thought he might havebecome part of a bridge under construction. There was another theory that he was buried elsewhere. As of a few months ago, he had relative still living in Drumright. The Catholic priest who was murdered lived in Drumright. He had received death threats. While on a trip, he was murdered in Fort Wayne, IN. The killer was never caught. The 3rd victim was a boy 9-12. I've forgotten his exact age. I just checked. D. Earl Newsom of Stillwater has written two books which are still available. He gives the names of the mysteries mentioned above. I talked to him by phone. No one can find the police files on these cases. Evidently, they don't exist , if they ever did. I am also told there were unsolved murders around Oilton, but I don't have any specific info. Anyway, the little boy was evidently abducted and killed. When his body was found a few months later in the area around Drumright, it is mentioned as a sex crime. The murderer was never found.
