Does anyone have access to the Sapulpa newspaper(s) of 1910? How would we get a copy or transcription of the obituary for Alfred J. DOW, who died 2:30 AM, 13 Oct 1910 in Sapulpa, Creek Co., OK?. We have a copy of the funeral record, which indicates he died at 702 Park Avenue -- the home of his daughter, Susan Harty (DOW) TAYLOR, & son-in-law, Isaac Henry TAYLOR. Arrangements were made by Alfred's son, Wiliam B. DOW & the funeral was scheduled for 2:00 PM, 17 Oct 1910 at "Res" (residence?). Intermment was to be at Sapulpa Cemetery. William paid $64.50 cash on 15 Oct 1910 for a casket, burial robe, 2 carriages (w/2 passengers), a hearse, and a lot. (I think funeral prices have gone up.) BTW, the funeral record does not contain the name of the mortuary or funeral director. The reason for seeking the obit is for information it might contain about living and deceased relatives of Alfred, to confirm or question other sources. -ralph
