Ralph, Found something in the Sapulpa Herald for 13 Oct 1910. Not sure what information exactly you wanted, but it was more like a death notice than an obituary -- didn't reveal much. I checked the two days following and found no additional mention of Alfred. The item reads as follows: Alfred J. Dow, aged 80 years died at his home, 703 South Park street. Funeral service will be held from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Sapulpa cemetery. Not much there, but the good news is I looked in the Buffington funeral home index and found him under "Alford Dow". His record is in "Book A"; bad news is the actual record books are at the Sapulpa Historical Museum, which is closed the remainder of the time I am in Sapulpa. Perhaps a local list member could pick up the quest for you and look at the funeral home record for more information. It might have a place of birth or something else useful (like who paid for the plot). The index entry did give a date of birth: 1 Mar 1850. Something else you might want to do is call the Sapulpa library, ask for the genealogy room, and have them check the old city directories for his name. Might tell you how long he lived in Sapulpa, and whether any relatives lived there at the same time. Good luck, Kevin Kelly Columbia, MO
