I will try to reach the Lincoln School Alumni Association for information on Doris Holmes. If they married in Bristow I can check court records here. They maybe in Sapulpa at the court house or in Drumright at the courthouse. Do you have any idea as the year that they would have married? vICKY. most courthouses have a cross reference on marriage licenses. One by the groom's name and one by the bride's name. I spoke with the contact person for Lincoln High School, the Black high school here. She didn't have any information that far back. You might try a search for old school records at Sapulpa, OK. Contact the Creek County Court Clerk at 117 Lee, Sapulpa, OK 74066, 918-227-4909. Atten: Old School Records. You will need the name of the person your looking for, the year if possible (like 1930 to 1940) . The names of the black schools that were here then are Sunset, Morning Star and Deep Fork they all were through the 8th grade. Lincoln was the only high school. As to the marriage record if I had the year they were married I could check here in Bristow at the court house.
