    3. Hi - I wish I could help, but I I do not have access to the Creek Co. newspapers. At http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcreek/archives.htm you will find several libraries and Historical Societies listed that do obit lookups. They do charge a small fee. If you locate the obit, please consider transcribing it and submitting to share with others. Never know... you might find a new relative that way. I don't know that you'll have much luck with the first two listed. Obits aren't common in early newspapers and both of these deaths occurred before statehood (1907), meaning there was no government agency to report to death to and once there was an agency created it wasn't manadatory until the 1930s. Marti OKGenWeb Creek Co. Coordinator Join the mailing list and post your questions. Marti = = = Original message = = = Subj: [OKCREEK-L] CEMETERY INFORMATION NEEDED Date: Sat, 8 Feb 2003 14:20:51 -0600 From: wellsfam@sstelco.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- I am looking for the burial place of my g-grandmother who died 5 March, 1925. Her death certificate states that she was buried in Drumright.. An oldtimer says that indeed she was buried in a cemetery in Drumright, but the cemetery has now been moved, bulldozed over, and a housing project put in it's place. Can anyone tell me where this cemetery was located? And if she is correct. I am sure my grandmother did not have a tombstone to be moved, but I'd like to know where she is buried. Thanks and much appreciation for any help I can get.
