we are kin to many Morgans from that area including a Edith will try to find out some of what i can i do not really know how as this is pretty much a dead end for us on this gen on both my great grand mothers and grand Father's side, IE. Morgan Tunnel. one thing for certain in my mind is we do descendant has southern notable families have us, nor the way any one has us but me on the Doolin you see doolin's " were known as out laws and Tunnell"s" as preachers, i verify the Doolin back to app 177pr proved per census's, family bible court records, our exact line... what is really not provable to me any way actually descents of Bill doolin the out law, (all i know is all his sisters wound up with us on lagoon bottom in n west creek co.)supposable died in swst Payne rt across the line. his brother became john Dooley in Pawnee county; so i really doughty his dependency as published and the most part excepted but because this was never discussed by my grandparents i can be sure of nothing pertaining to bill Doolin the out law except to say he is most likely buried ed in one of our baby graves in still water with the rest of our older family my grand parents said the moved his body in the night to the family area and believe this years ago i found some verification of this in a old police record Guthrie, it was wrote up the police stooped them they explained they were moving the body but wanted no one too know cause of publicity on the family and the officers let them continue with there job. i was in high school at the time and it was my first trip to the capitol library , did not write any thing down did not even mention it too any one because in 1960 it was still a big family secret, Morgans kids married into the fosters and they were bankers and there mom died young and they came to the ranch and stayed a lot and i am thinking maybe if it had came out about the out law business that fosters would not have let children come so often and again with both mothers dead the TunnelMorgann and our own Tunnel-Langford-Robinson this family connection meant a lot too my my great grandmother and so that is kinda confusing.... the doolin's actually went broke in the lumber business in KY they followed the railroad as loggers is why they came to ks and OK and bill Doolin robbed or is supposed have robbed a train or two so there was some reason besides the reputation of the In-laws confuse his dependency... and it was done well... there are those who claimed was my great grand fathers 1/2 brother he did have a brother bill that age as far as we know died Inc.. there are those who say he was William marion lyle doolin and this is possible but not very probables William Marion's grave is his and not the baby grave if that is the case he would have been 60 years old and not much of a explanation the Elsworth connection how ever the meek's and the doolin's were very close before this time and after i have even considered that William Marian had two families it happened on the frontier from what i can find out , a few claim he was Wallace Marion Kelly Doolin almost I'm possible but William Marion had a very sever leg injury that plagued him all his know life, he died in 1940s again this man could have had two families, i have tired to investigate that the out law business was done by all four of these men and to some degree i know at least 3 at some time or another used the wild bill reputation ??? ===== for siding windows decks gutter steal and com. roofs call mark orcutt 1918- 862-3214 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/creekpaynepawneecook/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/oiltonjenningsterltonnews/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ramsaybatemanengland/ for siding windows decks gutter steal and com. roofs call mark orcutt 1918- 862-3214 serving all of Ok and surrounding area 30 years exp. rtdbng@yahoo.com surnames in clude anderson, adair, bateman, byrd, bird, chesney, doolin, dobbs, ferguson, glasby, halcomb, helwick ,herron, hearne, ketcher kelly, keller, lankford, lyle, meek, meeks, miller, orcutt, peckpowell, posey, spencer, tunnell, tompkins, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/oiltonjenningsterltonnews/ for siding windows decks gutter steal and com. roofs call mark orcutt 1918- 862-3214 _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Does anyone know about looking up a divorce record in Creek County in the 1917-1938 period? We know that my great uncle, Henry Frank Cales, married Tressie C. Bevins on 20 Nov 1911. (Not in the Creek Co. index of marriages, so possibly in another county.) He subsequently married twice more, to Ruth <surname unknown> and Nell B. <surname unknown>. Following the divorce, Tressie also married again, to Harold Whitley. We're interested in the timing of these marriages & dissolutions and, of course the maiden names of his wives. Frank Cales was born 20 Nov 1891 and died Aug 1938. Thanks for any answer. -ralph

Thank you very much for your kind letters. Knowing that you have had a similar problem, I am assured that if I keep digging, I may find more info. We have to drive 40 miles to Mesa, AZ. to the Mormon Family Center over there, but they are very helpful, and when we get the time, I will have these helps that each one of you have given to me. Again, thanks, and I will keep in touch for ANY info. and how I find it. Allene/AZ.
Todd, I have done SOME census, but I don't think I followed throuogh on Alfred Jackson Ragon, so I will do that also. Thanks so much. Allene/AZ.
Pardon me for asking the obvious, but have you located Alfred Jackson Ragon in all the censuses? If you haven't done that step, it would be the best place to start. Todd

I have some brick walls as well. But mine are in TN and until I can find some court records from around 1867 to 1879 to find out about a murder that happened over gambling in Knoxville TN, I'm stuck with my gggrandfather's alias. He committed the murder, and we think just added Smith to his name, but without finding those records and who was really wanted for the murder, we'll never know his true name. Anyway, good luck with your search, and if you do find anything let us know how you found it, it might help others. :) Bobbi Dunn http://myfamily.150m.com Volunteer for RAOGK in Creek Co., OK http://www.raogk.org/ alternate email: bluerose68@yahoo.com Proud Member of: IBSSG http://blacksheep.rootsweb.com/ Webmaster for Depew PTA http://depewpta.150m.com
