Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gYB.2ACE/13172.2.1 Message Board Post: Thank you Kathy for your response and the information contained therein. It would look as though the information that you found was indeed for the Bertie Jones that I am searching for. I have been able to find out in the last few days that his middle name was Mortimer, so the information looks correct. I now need to find details on a wife (Margueritte) who I know was alive in 1967, and any children that they might have had. I know that there was at least one child, also named Bertie M Jones, but I am unsure whether he was a son from the first marriage or the second. My mother and her sisters and brothers were due to be evacuated to the Jones family during the 2nd World War and had tickets for the journey on SS City of Benaris. Fortunately, when they went to board the ship, the eldest daughter had not got a passport and the family was therefore unable to board, which was just as well as the ship was torpedoed and sunk by the Germans. All contact with the family was apparently lost after 1967. Any information on the Jones family in Tulsa would be gratefully received. Many thanks, Cathy Elliott

May or may not be your Bert Jones, but could be a possibility. Wade Stanfield is listed as a lawyer in both census he died in Nov 1948 and is buried at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa. Kathy

    3. If you will go here: http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcreek/index.htm That will give you not only the surrounding counties, but information on how to find marriage licenses in Creek County, not all are in the county courthouse, most are though. I would offer to go for you, but it may be up to 3 weeks before I can make it up there to check their index. If you still need the help in about 3 weeks, please feel free to contact me then at bluerose68@gmail.com, the cost of marriage licenses if found are $2.00. Let me know if I can help, I'll just be too busy for the next couple of weeks to make it up there, but once life slows down here, I don't mind at all :) Bobbi Dunn My Homes; http://myfamily.150m.com and The Farm http://ancestryfarm.com Volunteer for RAOGK in Creek Co., OK http://www.raogk.org/ alternate email: bluerose68@yahoo.com Proud Member of: IBSSG http://blacksheep.rootsweb.com/ Webmaster for Depew PTA http://depewpta.150m.com CC for Okmulgee co., Okmulgee Archives, McIntosh co., & co-CC for Atoka OKGenWeb, and volunteer for Creek co. http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/counties/countyquick.htm On Sun, 6 Mar 2005 21:19:19 EST, Melnsam123@aol.com <Melnsam123@aol.com> wrote: > Hello liost- seeking someone who May go to the court house and check and see > if there is a marriage filed for Kenneth Hopper/ Milladean Farthing For the > yeats 1944-1959. their daughter was born in Tulsa, oklahoma but the marriage is > not recorded there, would anyone have a marriage CD ??Malso could anyone tell > Me what counties border Creek County, Thanks in advance.
