This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --part0_914710652_boundary Content-ID: <[email protected]_out.mail.aol.com.1> Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Hi Marti, I have relatives, Elizabeth McGee and her mother Suckey(Susan maybe), who may be related to the McKays. Elizabeth McGee married James L. Lott in 1865 in Miss. She was born in Miss. in 1850, he there in 1843. They moved to Limestone Co.TX in 1880, my grandmother Viola Annie age 5 is on that TX census. We believe Suckey McGeehe, mother of Elizabeth McGee Lott, was on the 1832 Creek census and lived in Hickory Ground Town then. She has a number, EC11076, which we are trying to track. If anyone knows about the EC #, taken from the 1832 census(Creeks) please email me, I need info on how and where to find where these old # are, as the gov. used them as base # for the Poarch Creeks we believe. We need the addresss or phone # of who to contact in the Gov. about these EC#s. James L. Lotts father was born in LA. , his mother in Ala., but we do not know their names or birth dates If anyone has info on these McGees/Lott/McGeehes from perhaps the McKay family, please email us at Mik MP. Thanks so much. Bye. I am sorry if this query is old to you, but since I am new to the list, I am sending it again. I am looking for information on my family. Believed to have originally been Hind. Variations of the name include HINDS [My current} HIND / HINES / HYNES / HYND, etc. My direct ancestory was in Beaver County, PA after the Revolution, but may have been descendent from Chester, PA, -- Albemarle, Augusta Counties in VA. Descendents were known to have moved to Jennings (and surrounding) Counties, IN in the 1830/40 time frame. Included John, jr., Sampson (at least one with that name.), My great great grandfather Jason (also a John) who moved with his family into North Western Indiana. His wife Catherine (Oldham) and some Children are burried in Hemphill Cemetery. Jason died in Remington, IN. My great grandfather and some of his brothers (Includes Roark and George) served in the Civil war from that area. Eric, Tried to send you a message yesterday, but had email trouble. I wishe I could be of more help to you. I am moving to a home in the next few days here in Harrison, Ar., but I suggest that you phone D. Earl Newsom in Stillwater. He's in the phone book. He has two books out on the Drumright area, and he might have some ideas on where to search. I don't if files are available for the 1880 area. The Oklahome Historical Society is another possibility. I tried to find info on early 1920 cases, and, evidently, nothing is available. Newsom may be on the internet(he was planning to get on, but I don't if he ever did) There are a number of unsolved murders and disappearances in Creek County. More later, and stay in touch. Robert, I have a relative (no longer alive) that was involved in a possible killing in Creek County sometime in the late 1800s, or possible early 1900. Apparently, he stabbed a man in a bar fight and fled to Oregon. However, I have no idea where this occurred and I doubt the authorities ever had his name. The only information the authorities might have is: 1) The victim was stabbed in a bar. 2) The victim did not die immediately. (possibly not at all) 3) The assailant was not apprehended. Do you know where any police records like this might be available on the net? Sounds like you were doing some police research of your own.
