Found the one about Markham and Viola Bickel interesting. My grandparents- wood and Lindy Campbell lived on the old Markham townsite when I was a little girl, late 40's and early 50's. It was located between Oilton and Drumright and back west. I don't know Viola Bickel but my sister probably will, she is married into the Bickell family from that area. They aren't online but I'm sure would be happy to help. Tell her Reva sent you. Contact: Mary Bickell{Victor} RT 1 Box 140 Cushing,OK 74023
Wanda, any help appreciated, and will be kept confidential. My mother, Eula Rader, went to school at Markham with Viola Bickel. They went to school there through the eighth grade. My mother then went on to Oilton, but Viola went elsewhere due to where she lived. My mother thinks she may have gone to Yale. I trust I have the last named spelled correctly. I don't suppose it could be spelled Bickle. Anyway, I promised I would look for her old friend. Thanks for any help, Sincerely, Bob Marden, Harrison, Ar. wanda havlick wrote: > Looking at the Tulsa, OK phone book I see 13 Bickel's listed, 4 > Bickell's and 10 Bickle's. Looking for information concerning the family of William Adkins. He was born in 1849 in Kentucky and married Martha Ann Clark. They moved to Oklahoma in the early 1900's with the majority of their family. My grandfather, his son, was already married and had his home in Whitley County, Kentucky. I have located two of his grandchildren, Opal Lee Gober and Monte Meadors who live in Oklahoma. There are other members of his family living in the area. I would like to locate someone who could give me some specifics about the family. Betty Taylor Lexington, KY [email protected]
