Is there any one on the list that lives in Oilton? I lost Sherry DOOLIN'S e-mail address and wonder if anyone has it or could give me her E-mail address. She was helping me with my SUTTON research. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jean

Hi all - I finally have most of the Creek Co. cemeteries back online. Vickey has taken her site offline, but was generous enough to donate the cemeteries to the Creek Co. researchers. It has taken some time to reformat the files, etc. and a few still need work, but they are back online. Enjoy, Marti Creek Co. Saw some one else's post about death indices by county in Oklahoma, and wonder if there is one for Creek County. If so, can someone do a lookup on Rupert Potts for me, please ,
Hi Everyone, I am searching for information on my greatgrandmother Mary (Burgess) Marshall. She was born in Virginia in abt. 1864 and I was told died August 12, 1927 in Drumright, Creek Co., OK. Her first husband was Daniel Nichols and her second husband was Carpenter Marshall. I am hoping to find out if this is her correct date of death and where she might be buried. Also if there might be any information on any of her husbands. Any help would be greatful. Thank you, Karen Massey Michigan

Anna, I have been reading your messages concerning Dunaway in Bristow. My Great-grandfather died in Bristow, 20 Jan 1942; was embalmed by Roy E. Dunaway. Then, I believe, a funeral home in Seminole, OK handled the burial at the Oakdale Cemetery in Depew, OK. At the time of death the personal information was given by a son, Roscoe Barton, of Snowmac, OK. PROBLEM, the year of birth given was the birth year of my great-grandmother (her birth date, 20 Dec 1871) not my great-grandfather. George Henry Sampson was born in Brumley, Miller County, MO., 8 Nov 1868. His father, William George Sampson, died in Brumley, Miller County, MO, 3 Oct 1869. Therefore, the birth date shown on the Death Certificate (8 Nov 1871) leaves a gap of two years and a month from the date of his fathers death. Several years ago I tried to get this corrected but run into a brick wall. The funeral home that filed the original death certificate has to notify the state in order to make a correction. I could not find anyone (either Bristow or Seminole) who would admit to having any information. Interesting note: Both George and his wife, Mary Bell, are buried at the Oakdale Cemetery. Their tomb stone (placed by Roscoe Barton) shows no dates because he said "he didn't know what they were." [email protected] sorry, I didn't intend this to be a mini-series
