    1. [OKCOMANC-L] New Comanche County Query Posts
    2. Hi, I would like to let you know about a new Rootsweb program that will greatly reduce the time it takes for you to view posts made to the GenConnect boards. In the past, I have saved all posts made to the boards during the week, and then sent them altogether to the list on the weekends when I had more time. Starting today, all posts will be sent directly to the mailing list, via the new 'Gateway' system. This is the announcement from Rootsweb: "GenConnect boards can now be "gatewayed" to mailing lists. When a board is gatewayed to a mailing list, every message posted to the GenConnect board will be forwarded to the corresponding mailing list. The message sent to the list will contain the URL of the specific post to allow the list subscribers to respond directly to the message. In this manner, gatewaying will enable more effective communication between the mailing lists and the GenConnect boards." The following messages should be the last before the new program begins to reroute them. ----------------------------- New posts have been made to the Comanche County Queries board. To respond to these messages, or to post one of your own, please visit the GenConnect boards on the Comanche County webpage.... http://www.rootsweb.com/~okcomanc/okgen.htm Thanks, LaRae Boards admin. ========================= New Comanche Co. Ok Query Forum Post --- A new message, "Harris-Owens," was posted by Ann Harris on Sat, 01 Apr 2000 --- Surname: HARRIS, OWENS, POWELL --- NAME: Ann Harris EMAIL: anharris@flash.net DATE: Apr 01 2000 --- QRYTEXT: Is anyone working on Harris in this county? I have lost Benjamin Franklin Harrris who married Kiziah (Kizzie) Owens. They were in Stephens County where he carried the mail. He must have died between the 1900 census and 1910, because in 1910 I found Kiziah living with son in law in Comanche Co., by the name of Powell. Appreciate any information. Thanks, Ann. =====================
