Also, any info on my ggrandmother (including anecdotes) Maude KINNEY ASBERY. Charter member, First Church of God, Lawton. Also, ggrandfather, Byrd Cook ASBERY and second wife (unknown name). Maude and Byrd are both buried in Comanche County, but I don't know what cemetery. I believe they are buried side by side. 2. Moore, John
    3. I am trying to locate information on a John Clarence Grant who lived in Lawton, Oklahoma in the late 1800's. He was supposed to have been a prominent person in that city. He was a junior member of the firm Grant Bros. Grocers. He married Rose Clayton, she lived with her sister Mrs. J. L. Stice. They had a home on Wall Street. The information above came from an old newspaper clipping. My problem is that the date was cut off. Could someone tell me what newspaper was called the Times during this period and if it still exists?

    1. [OKCOMANC-L] New Comanche County Query Posts
    2. Hi, I would like to let you know about a new Rootsweb program that will greatly reduce the time it takes for you to view posts made to the GenConnect boards. In the past, I have saved all posts made to the boards during the week, and then sent them altogether to the list on the weekends when I had more time. Starting today, all posts will be sent directly to the mailing list, via the new 'Gateway' system. This is the announcement from Rootsweb: "GenConnect boards can now be "gatewayed" to mailing lists. When a board is gatewayed to a mailing list, every message posted to the GenConnect board will be forwarded to the corresponding mailing list. The message sent to the list will contain the URL of the specific post to allow the list subscribers to respond directly to the message. In this manner, gatewaying will enable more effective communication between the mailing lists and the GenConnect boards." The following messages should be the last before the new program begins to reroute them. ----------------------------- New posts have been made to the Comanche County Queries board.
