I am fairly sure that Lewis Seal(s) (b1846 TN-d1930) and possibly his wife (b1850 TN-d????) lived in Choctaw Co., OK after July of 1881. Lewis is reported to be buried at the Boswell Cemetery. Looking for date of death and place of burial for his wife Vana. Vana was sister of my great grandfather John J. Wolfe born TN between 1857 and 1861. John's middle name could be Joseph or Jackson. Vana's name was actually Lavania R. Wolfe Seal(s). Lewis Seal(s) witnessed two weddings in Kentucky for Vana and John J. Wolfe's brother Jasper Newton Wolfe (b1859-d????). Jasper Newton Wolfe's 2nd marriage in July 1881 was to Serena Overbay. The Seal(s), and these two Wolfe brothers disappeared between 1881 and 1899. My great grandmother (Martha Ellen Ramsey Wolfe)and my grandmother (Sara Woodia Wolfe Chasteen) were left behind in Kentucky. There are several family tales about why John left Kentucky. I recently found a newspaper article regarding a John J. Wolfe who was arrested in December 1899 for making moonshine. If that was the same John J. Wolfe my great grandmother was probably too ashamed to take him back in that bible belt part of Kentucky . He was sent to jail in Louisville and the records for every year except 1899 and 1900 are available. Did John J. Wolfe and/or Jasper Newton Wolfe travel with the Seal(s) to Oklahoma? Any assistance tracing these individuals and their descendants would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe
