The only Messer I met was Ted who was a g g grandson of Ambrose and Clara Taylor Messer. Ted died a few years back . His wife died last year. I have a poor photocopy of a picture of Ambrose and Clara Taylor Messer. I wish that I could help you more I'll ask around and see if someone knows where they lived.
