Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/zZB.2ACI/253.256.1.2.2 Message Board Post: Bob, I have checked and the cemetery you are thinking about is probably one Creek or lone creek. It was mostly an Indian cemetery. There were only 10 to 15 graves mostly unmarked. All markers were moved to Woodlawn. There seems to be some doubt if the actual graves were moved, perhaps just the soil. This cemetery was on a point of land which is now under water We have had another inquiry about Hog Cemetery or Lake and there was one near the Bryan Co., line. Of course the name could have been used more than once. You might inquire in Bryan Co. too. Lila Swink, Pres. swink1@prodigy.net

Territorial records for Towson Co. are just so few. I am sure they were records, but there was no requirement to pass on cemetery or funeral home records and so many were just taken home and then thrown out or burned. Lila

Perhaps the Army Corps of Engineers would have a more recent record since there was relocation of those buried at Hog Lake to what became Messer/Woodlawn .
