Prater-Lampton-Mills-Coffey being the oldest funeral home does not have a listing for our Samuel and Vina Adams who died April and June 1921 respectfully. The obit for Samuel said funeral arrangements were pending, but no funeral home or cemetary was mentioned. Also the name of the paper was not included in the obit. We would like to visit the cemetary while in Hugo, but need to know which one.

    1. [OKCHOCTA] Birth certificates re 1918 etc
    2. I am sending out several feelers here and a question. I recently sent off to Oklahoma for a copy of my ex-husband's mother's birth certificate. The birth took place in Soper in Sept 1918. They said they could find no record of the event. I know many didn't bother to record births back then especially when they had the child at home. Martha Frances Warren and Husband A.R. Gladden definitely had a daughter named Aaron Aline Gladden at this time and place. There is a situation though. Supposingly Martha is part Choctaw or Cherokee. If she is, would there be another place where births, deaths, marriages might be recorded. Martha herself was born in Soper, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory 2 Feb 1901. Her parents were Winnie Halford (born 1876 in Missouri) and Lee Warren. Martha's grandchildren seem to know less than I do. According to the 1920 census for Choctaw, OK both of Winnie's parents were born in Illinois. Winnie Halford was married to a man named Howard McQueen by 1917, so Lee Warren was either deceased or they divorced. Howard McQueen was born 1882 in Texas according to the 1920 census. I know I have posted some of this information before but whenever I get a new bit of info I repost the whole thing. I have tracked my own family back into the 1600s and 1700s but I can't seem to move on this one.
