Edward Springs, Hugo, Oklahoma was with Company 'B', 142nd Inf., 36th Div., Camp Bowie, Ft. Worth, Texas. This info comes from a copy of the Roster of Enlisted Personnel, 142nd Infantry, with Addresses Upon Consolidation. (1917-1919). I also have a Roster containing the following: Robert Springs, that was with Company 'L' ....a company of the 1st Oklahoma National Guard Unit of Ft. Still. (This was one of the 1st Oklahoma, companies that joined with the 7th Texas @ Camp Bowie in 1917 to form the 142nd Inf., 36th Div.) Company 'L' was out of Antlers, Oklahoma. I wish I could connect your EDWARD, with the one listed in the ROSTER. Maybe some else in your family could shed some light on weither or not your Edward served in WWI. None of the enlisted soldiers I'm searching for are related to me!!!! I'm trying to put together a book on the 142nd, and I'm looking for information on those that were with the 142nd both at Camp Bowie and in France!!!! Thanks so much for getting back with me, keep me posted on what you find out. SLC w/Through the Winds of Time

There are (2) cemeteries not listed one of them being Roebuck Cemetery. Check with the Choctaw County Genealogy Society out in Goodland. They have records of these (2) unregistered cemeteries plus others. As for the ones at the courthouse, just as the clerk although she may direct you the the funeral homes for more data.
