While transcribing a 1912 obit for someone buried at Grant, reference was made to the deceased being buried in the Boardman cemetery there. Is this the same cemetery known as Grant today? If not, is there a misplaced and lost cemetery running loose in Choctaw county? Thanks for any help, Ron

Surnames: Berry, Hartshorne, Haileyville, Gowen, Dow, Craig Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zZB.2ACI/576 Message Board Post: searching for some leads on the above person. Bef this he had worked on a large cattle ranch after 1887 for a GW Riddle of Wilburton and when he sold the ranch abt 1991 Berry is said to have gone to Sugar Loaf county [I do notknow where that is] and farmed for 4 yrs. Then during the administration of Honorable JP Grady a marshall for Central Judicial Dist of Indian Territory, James Berry was a deputy US Marshall. After this he had Berry and Company which seems to have been around Hartshorne [dont know where that is/was] and gave tourists choices of buggies, hacks, wagons to tour from what I gather in an old article. I do not know his wife's name or children, so any info is going to be helpful. Thank you.

She said people would come from miles around to fetch her to help with childbirth. She also knew natural herbal medicine, and used many native plants in treating her own large family, and did her own stitching of wounds. They always lived a long way from any doctor. She was Ethie Pearl House Driver, and she lived in Choctaw County at that time. I have no way of knowing who she assisted in childbirth. She died in 1942 in a house fire in the Crowder Springs community south of Boswell, before I was born.
