BELL, Elizabeth and WATKINS, William: For years I thought that my Great-Great-Great-Grand Mother Elizabeth WATKINS (nee Bell) was Cherokee. My guess now is that she maybe CHICKASAW. Elizabeth married William WATKINS and William was born in Warren County, TN. Warren County was Chickasaw Territory. William and Elizabeth migrated in 1848-49 to Carroll County OsageTownship Arkansas where their children were born. The 1860 census of Carroll County shows that Elizabeth born ca. 1830 in North Carolina yet all the children's death certificates show her birth place as TN. In fact they had a daughter that they named Mary Tennessee WATKINS. William was killed in the Civil War but I don't know when or where. Any suggestions I would truly appreciate. All of the children migrated to Cherokee County, OK. Also three of the children married the children and grand children of Caleb Starr THOMPSON. The descendant of NANCY WARD. I don't know what happened to Elizabeth. I don't know when she died or where she is buried. I don't even know the names of her PARENTS or BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
