BELL, Elizabeth and WATKINS, William: For years I thought that my Grandmother Elizabeth WATKINS nee BELL was Cherokee. William was born in Warren or Wayne County, TN. Which was Chickasaw Territory? My guess now is that she maybe CHICKASAW. William and Elizabeth migrated in 1848-49 to Carroll County, Osage Township, Arkansas where their children were born. The 1860 census of Carroll County, AR shows that Elizabeth born ca. 1830 in North Carolina. Yet all the children's death certificates show that she was born in TN. William was killed in the Civil War but I don't know when or where. All to their children migrated to Cherokee County, OK. Three of the children married the children and grand children of Caleb Starr Thompson. The descendants of Nancy WARD. I don't know what happened to Elizabeth. I don't know when or where she died at. I even don't know the names of her Parents or Brothers and Sisters. Their children; George Gordon WATKINS Born Nov. 23, 1854 in Carroll County, AR Hugh Thomas WATKINS Born May 10, 1855, in Berryville, AR Carroll County. John Benjamin McCullock WATKINS Born Oct. 18, 1861 Died Jul. 05, 1924 in Pueblo, CO. Mary Tennessee WATKINS Born Feb. 17, 1866 Died Feb. 15, 1940 Mary's first husband was Elihugh L. Thompson.
