What makes the story even more interesting is that Malinda's father, James Martin is listed on 1851 Drennen Roll and Henderson (Tenn.) 1835 Rolls. We don't understand how Malinda was denied. James's sister, Martha Martin, married John Ross Daniel and their son is John M. Daniel and he and his decendents are on the Dawes Roll.
