This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: WEST, COOPER , WALLACE, HONEYCUTT, PARKER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UYB.2ACE/1285.1 Message Board Post: I have searched this West family for 20 years, and never knew that Thomas West, Isaac West, Andrew West, and the widdow of Rufus West Sr. was in Rusk County, Texas in 1870 , because they somehow skipped that page when they published the index. The West family, or part of it is on page 471.: Thomas West 47 Elizabeth (Cooper) 40 Cinchello 12 Thomas 6 Charles 3 Isaac G. West 39 Nancy (Wallace) 35 Aldora 15 R. C. 12 Alice 6 Dixie 5 Charles 4 Emma (Sparks) 3 West, Andrew 35 Martha (Honeycutt) 30 Benj. F. 9/12 West, Isom 41 Rosetta 7Malinda 10 West, John J. 19 West, Louisa 50 (B) Rachel 18 (B) Gibson, James 18 (B) West, Nancy 66 Page 316 West, Rufus 35 Mary Susan (Parker)28 Emily (Holdman) 11 Alexander 4 Lucinda 2 I have also looked and looked for Charles West everywhere, knowing that he did not die during the Civil War since he took the amnesty oath in Marshall, Texas, but sinse Thomas and Isaac had sons under 5 years old and both named "Charles", it is probably a good indication that he had died in the last 5 years. Do you have access to the early Texas death index? I will try to get to the library in the next week or so and look on that reel of microfilm. Hope this helps. Wanda
