My Miles, of whom I know very little but would love to know more, was the son of Barbara and Dale Carter Stewart (they are listed in the 1880 Carter Co census while Miles is in the Lawrence Co census for that same year) Miles was married to Ellen Lyons and I know of 10 children they had. I believe Miles died in 1950, but that is about all I know of that line of my family. My lineage is through Miles' youngest sister Samantha, who was my great-grandmother.
