I will be making a trip to Oklahoma next month and want to take photo's of some headstones in Hewitt and Mt. Olive cemeteries. Can anyone tell me where to find a listing of exactly where specific gravesites are located? (Can you tell I've never done this before?) Is there an index somewhere? I've tried to contact Mr. Hamm, but the e-mail is returned. Also, would anyone know where I could purchase a copy of INDIAN NATION AND CARTER COUNTY PIONEERS? I've e-mailed the museum in Ardmore but have not recieved a response yet. Thanks for your help, Judy
Hello Judy: The Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson has a copy of the records which indicate who is buried in each plot at Hewitt Cemetery. The funeral home in Healdton also has the records for Mt. Olive. I cannot think of the name just now, and I don't have a Healdton phone book. Hope this will be of help. Regards, Anna Marie P.S. A Mrs. Stewart, who lives just down the street from the Alexander Funeral Home also has a copy of the records for Hewitt *******************************.
