I found Myrtle May Cowherd on March 16, 1993, but could not find Roy B. Cowherd on Sept 5, 1995. I looked from Sept 3rd through the 8th, and there was no obituary for him. I don't mean to question, but do you have the right date?? Myrtle May COWHERD Services for Myrtle May Cowherd will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harvey-Douglas Chapel with Rev. Dan Patman officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born to Joshua and Maude WARREN MATTHEWS July 31, 1897, at Bowie, Texas, Mrs. Cowherd died Monday at her home. Married to Roy Buford Cowherd May 9, 1919 in Texas, she was a retired school teacher and had lived here 20 years, moving here from Leedey. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Lee, Ardmore; a brother, Walter Spencer, Fortuna, Calif.; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Harold Copeland, Bruce Hammer, Larry Berryhill and Chuck Abernathey. Garrold Kauk is honorary bearer.
