J. Lee, or middle name Mattie, or first name Mattie. My grandfather's name was Mattie James Lee, his father is the one I am searching for he had one-1/2 brother and I am not sure if his surname was Lee or not the parents of my greatgrand father died when he was very young and I have no names. I found an M.J. Lee listed in the confederate veterans officers and members of John H. Morgan camp, no. 107, UCV, Ardmore, Indian Territory 3/20/1896, I believe this to be him but I can't find any other info in any other search I am trying to trace my indian heritage there were stories of him being a U.S. Marshal but my father's memory at 72 is foggy. He remembers stories of the Coalgate area, says his grandfather was very familar with the area and also McAlester area my father is Wayne Leroy Lee born 12/5/1928 his father Mattie James Lee born 1909 died 1962-64 Bartlesville, OK looking for info on ____?_____Mattie Lee ?born around 1850's any help or suggestions would be appreciated Connie Clark
