    3. Hi Listers, I received this message from a cousin working on location of burial for our Great Grandfather John Garvin McBee in Carter Co. Handwriten notes left by his son say he died in Milo in 1905, nothing about how he died or where he is buried. Does anyone know who this (Bert Simpson) is?? We have no family history to link him to our family. Does anyone have access to Newspaper information about a drowning in the area in 1905?? How does a Funeral home have all of the indicated information without saying "WHERE" a person was buried??? Appreciate any help we can get. TIA, Elnora Frances Cook-Wyrick Dearest Elnora, I have not given up the search, but it seems that we may never have a site to memorialize. I went to the funeral home with the records for the Taliferro home and the lady I spoke with was so very helpful. She is an older person and remembers much, she asked to be informed of our findings. The record is for "Mr. McBee" no other name given. According to the papers, one Bert Simpson made the arrangements for GGrandfather, paid everything. This Bert Simpson was a well known person in Ardmore at that time, I have NO idea of his connection to GGrandfather (oh, in case you were not told, GGrandfather drowned). The price paid for the plot was in keeping with that of Rosehill Cemetery (according to the lady), but when I checked with Rosehill, they showed nothing. Rosehill suggested (rather hesitantly) that perhaps he was laid to rest in the paupers-section, there is no record of who is buried there. There was a hearse paid for, coffin, service, plot, and opening of the grave; but the record does not indicate where he was buried. I received a copy of the record. I will sign off for now but think of you and our quest everyday.
