I forgot to mention in my earlier reply, the Harvey-Douglas & Craddock Funeral Homes took care of most of the early funerals. They are wonderful about looking up records or allowing you to go through the records. I was there in 1994 and had wonderful success at getting all kinds of records. I went to the museum, the funeral homes and the courthouse and came away with scads of information.
