Sometimes not everyone that is buried in a cemetery is listed in the on-line cemetery list. All the facts I had was the name, an approx. date of death, about 1910 in Carter Co OK. I had checked all the Carter Co. cemeteries that are listed on-line but could not find my Grandfather's name. I live far away so I asked a local resarcher to go to the courthouse in Ardmore and see what she could find in death records. She found a 'Record of Funeral' that gave the date of Feb 26, 1909 and gave the exact Lot number in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Carter Co. OK. She then went to the cemetery and discovered that he had no headstone on his grave, therefore he was not included in their on-line list. I am now in the process of having a marker placed on his grave and hope that his name will be added to the Rose Hill Cemetery on-line list sometime in the future. If this researcher had not gone personally to the cemetery I would never have been able to find my Grandfather's grave.
