Thomas A. GRIFFIN died 26 Feb 1909 in Carter Co. OK and is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, OK. [My Mother was 10 at that time.] The only two members of her father's family that she knew were 'Cousin Jeff GRIFFIN and Cousin Alice GRIFFIN married to Benjamin COE. They lived in Wilson, OK. just west of Ardmore between 1900 & 1910. I still do not know if Cousin Jeff was a brother or father of Cousin Alice GRIFFIN COE. I made contact with a member of a COE family but neither of us know if this was the correct family of the Ben COE I'm looking for. There was a Ben Coe married to an Alice and on census records this Alice COE said she was b. in MO. This Ben Coe was born in Cook Co. TX and migrated with his brother Wilber COE to Wilson Co. OK in the correct time frame. This Alice and Ben COE had no children. I still have not been able to locate the place that Olivia Sumpter Morrison lived before she married Thomas GRIFFIN, but I 'think' it was in AL. She was born in Dade Co. GA. Olivia & Thomas GRIFFIN first lived in McMillan (now OK) before moving on to Ardmore, OK. I'll be happy to check out any leads given to me.
