Hewett is located between Wilson and Lone Grove - closer to Wilson. Today the only thing remaining is the Cemetary and various homes scattered throughout the area. The entire area is/was oil country - oil pumps are everywhere- the deeper you go into the woods the thicker the pumps. There were also refineries (2) in this area also. probably about 1900-20 - one in Wilson and the other Hewett. Mr. John Cannon has been the most informative - even for me. Hope I helped Carolyn
