"Jerry" Jarrett, 90, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Walt Spradling and the Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Born Aug. 14, 1907, at Liberal, Kan., to Oliver Perrin and Amanda L. Compton Jarrett, he died Sept. 12, 1997, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret McAlister, and his second wife, Frances Brooks Smith; and one brother, Compton Day Jarrett. Jarrett had lived in Ardmore since 1936. He began working for Samedan Oil Corp. in 1935 and retired in 1972 as the purchasing agent. He was a musician for more than 75 years and a member of the Community Band and the Ardmore Little Theatre pit group. Jarrett was a member of CrystalRock Cathedral. He had been active in the Boy Scouts of America, Elks Lodge and numerous civic organizations. Survivors include one son, Perrin, Noble; one daughter, Martha Williams Ashworth, Dallas; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous stepchildren. Bearers are Mark Williams, Glen and Warren Jarrett, Rome Ingle, Marvin Bishop and Don Odle. Honorary bearers are Bobby Funkhouser and Fred Ashworth. Memorials may be made to the CrystalRock Cathedral Building Fund, 2005 12th Ave. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401; The Gideons, P.O.
