You mention MO as a location the Patterson family came from. David Snell Patterson [my wife's grandfather] was born in Knob Noster, Johnson Co, Missouri [on my mother-in-law's birth certificate]. He was the son of an Ephraim Alexander Patterson who I undersand had a farm near Knob Noster, MO. Is there any chance of a tie there? David married Mable McMains of Ft. Scott, Bourbon Co, Kansas before moving to Cheek, OK. My wife's oldest uncle, Paul was born in Cheek, Carter Co, OK [I personally saw his birth certificate in 1973--that is how I found out that Cheek was in Carter Co, OK].
