I am looking for information about my grandfather, William Grant COPELAND b. 1863 MO. His parents were Mary Butts b. TN and unknown Copeland. William lived in Parker Co. TX 1885-1888. Then he moved to Ardmore, Carter Co., OK where he reportedly had a trading post and grocery store. He lived in Ardmore until around 1904-1905 when he moved to Wheeler Co., TX where he owned 640 acres and raised stock. When he died in 1941 his obituary stated that he had a brother, John COPELAND who was living in Ringling, OK and a sister Dora Copeland BILLINGSLEY who was also living in Ringling.
