Cotten from Scotland who married Susan LaFlore from Mississippi -- they had much land in Ardmore area. Susan LaFlore was 1/8 Choctaw. I am also seeking information on any of their children -- David Oscar Cotten who married Cora J. NeSmith -- Rufus P. Cotten who married Haidee NeSmith or Ed Cotten not sure what happened to Ed. David Oscar & Cora Cotten had 7 children -one son was David Hester Cotten also born in Ardmore -January 28, 1894. David Hester Cotten became the County Attorney for Ottawa County in 1919-20. Purl was born in Ardmore, OK April of 1888. 1910 Carter Co Census: ADKINS also spelled ATKINS by two of the brothers: Robert or Tom (Father) Mary or Mollie E (mother) children: James S, Mary E "Mollie", Susan "Suda", Robert Lee, and Eleanor.
