Could somebody send me the website that will actually print out the request form for a social security application of an ancestor. Cynthia [email protected]
You mention MO as a location the Patterson family came from. David Snell Patterson [my wife's grandfather] was born in Knob Noster, Johnson Co, Missouri [on my mother-in-law's birth certificate]. He was the son of an Ephraim Alexander Patterson who I undersand had a farm near Knob Noster, MO. Is there any chance of a tie there? David married Mable McMains of Ft. Scott, Bourbon Co, Kansas before moving to Cheek, OK. My wife's oldest uncle, Paul was born in Cheek, Carter Co, OK [I personally saw his birth certificate in 1973--that is how I found out that Cheek was in Carter Co, OK]. Sincerely, Edward, Sr. Note: my own mother, who was a Park, was from Kay Co, Oklahoma, so I myself am a decendent of OK ancestors.. carol morse wrote: > Hi Edward, too many pointers - locations, cemetery, time frame to be a > coincidence on our Pattersons however I don't have a David or a Ruth listed > in my files. I am responding to this query because my wife's family [her mother's maiden name was Patterson] lived in Carter County in the early 1900s in Cheek, OK. In fact my wife's grandfather, David Snell Patterson was reported to have a general store in Cheek OK in the 1908-1917 time frame. My wife's aunt Ruth E. Patterson, who died at the afe of 18 months in 1917 is buried in the Hewitt Cemetery. My wife, Ruth was named for her. I am curious about any Pattersons that lived in Carter County in the 1890-1920 time frame as they might be related to my wife's grandfather Sincerely, Edward, Sr. carol morse wrote: > Looking for Patterson family living in Wheeler and Healdton by 1892. > Children of John William and Nancy Ellen PATTERSON went to Healdton schools > from 1890's thru/until early 1920's. I found this on another list, sounds good to me! The year 2000 is a Census Year. Most of the census will be taken by mail. After you have filled out your census form why not make a copy of it and file with your important (genealogy) papers. Then your family will not have to wait 70 years to learn about you.
