    3. Posted on: Carter County, Ok Query Forum Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Carter?read=1080 Surname: information, no-name ------------------------- The Chickasaw Library has the Ardmoreite newspaper Micro-Films. The Ardmore Public Library has the Census for Carter county. I have not seen the Ardmoreite newspaper micro-film at any other library. The Ardmore Public Library has moved into a larger new bldg. My neice, whom works there has not mention the newspaper micro-film as being added to the genealogy section. I don't know how familiar Ardmore is to you. The road for the Public Library is Grand & E street N.W. Grand runs east & west and it only starts at E st. going west from that point. E street runs north & south. Some of the main roads that cross E St. is Main St., Broadway and 12th St. N.W. The Chickasaw Library is 600 Railway Road. This is a little hidden from view on the hwy going towards Healdton before you come to the ramps for InstateHwy 35. There is a signal light at the intersection. it appears to be for the fast food & motels on the No. & So. side of the road. You need to turn here, going towards the Two Green Frog grill, The Railway Road start there. The Chickasaw Library is on the right side of the road (est. less than 2/10 of mile). They have two micro-film readers and both print. You might check out the Genealogy Library in the The Greater Southwestern Historical Museum on 35 Sunset Drive. The Historical Society is there. You will see the sign on the way to the Chickasaw Library. You will turn No. or right if your heading towards Healdton. The museum is very niffy place to visit. The genealogy library is in the left hallway. They have nice collection of genealogy material and census micro-film. Good Luck with your search, Fran

You probably have this information, and it's not much, but here goes. I knew a Dorothy Darling from Wilson, who would have been born in the teens or early twenties. She married Toby (probably a nickname) Price and raised a family a mile north of Wirt, OK. She had at least one brother, whose name I forget; I believe he died fairly young. She had three sons, born in the 40's, whose names I forget (one went by the nickname "Punk"), who went to Dundee Schools. I believe at least one of them is deceased.
