She was married to Abe McDaniel before Dr. Hargrave who was also a lawyer. In writings of her Uncle Counce Goff, it was stated she had a nice property in the Ardmore area.

GRIFFIN b. abt. 1855 in AL (according to census records) died of fever in Carter Co. OK abt. 1910 when my Mom was a small girl. The only members of his family she ever met was a Cousin Jeff GRIFFIN and Cousin Alice and Ben of WILSON, OK. I do not know if Alice or Ben was the 'Griffin cousin', therefore unsure of their surname. [In census records Thomas said both his parents born in SC.] Thomas GRIFFIN married Olivia Sumpter MORRISON abt. 1894 I and they moved to Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory & later to Ardmore, Carter Co. OK where they bought a small farm owned a grocery store. My Grandmother continued to operate the store after Thomas died and later bought some additional property. During the 1920's Olivia sold all the property to the Ringling Railroad for a Switching Yard. [An old friend later told Olivia's daughter that the area now is home to a shopping mall.] In 1924 Olivia & her children migrated to TX. OK. Johnnie was the daughter of George Jefferson Bogle. She and her seven siblings were raised by their uncle, Henry Carroll Bogle, after their father's death, and then by his widow, Annie Laurie Raspberry Bogle, when he also died. Johnnie Alice had seven brothers and sisters: Lillie, Pearl, Ora, May, Ollie, Henryetta, and Thomas. Johnnie Alice Bogle was b. in the 1890's and m. William Edgar Renfrow. One of her descendants has lost touch with the family and would like to find out what happened to them.

Nov 7, 1934 Aged Minister Dies At Wilson Rev. J. A. CLOWDUS Had Been in Methodist Ministry 45 years Wilson Nov. 7 - (Special) - The Rev. J. A. Clowdus, a retired M. E. minister, died here late Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. C. WALKER, 1003 South 5th Street. The Rev. Mr. Clowdus was born June 10, 1850, at Birmingham, Ala. He had been a Methodist minister for 45 years. The funeral was held in the M. E. church at Wilson, Rev. J. W. ODEN conducting the services, assisted by Chas L. JOHNSON, pastor of the Church of Christ. Interment was in the Keller cemetery. The Richeson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. The Rev. Mr. Clowdus is survived by three sons, Floyd of Keller; J.M.D. of Wilson; and a son in Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. J. C. WALKER of Wilson, and another who lives in Birmingham, Ala., and several granchildren and great grandchildren.
