My grandmother Myrtle Epps, according to her death certificate, was born in 1894. Family tradition has some of the family coming from Tennesee and some Indian heritage. Grandma died in 1957 and grandpa in 1962. I think they were married in Indian Territory. Grandma may have been born in Marietta around 1894. I'm wanting information about their parents. Walter's father was Wiliford Thompson (first name may be spelled multiple ways). Walter's mother was Mary Samatha Davis. After her husband's death, Mary married Lafayette Meadows. Grandma's family was Mary Elizabeth Moore and William Epps. Myrtle had a sister named Emma Elizabeth. Mary Elizabeth later married Joseph Henry. This information came from my Aunt Lillian Arnold. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wondered if you could look to see if there is a Smith family by this name around 1880 in Carter County. I don't know if they lived in Oklahoma or Texas. George David Mitchell on Oklahoma death certificate. On his grave marker it say Dave G. Mitchell in the Newport Cemetery. On his marriage license in Kaufman Co., TX David George Mitchell. I know he owned land North of Stobtown on Caddo Creek. I think he was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Stobtown. He died 19 Sep, 1948. To go back any further I need to know where in Michigan he was born.

They are both buried at Rose Hill cemetery. Amanda was called Mandy and James was called Uncle Jimmy in Ardmore. My question is, James had a cotton gin in Provence, Okla early 1900? It was supposed to have burned down. I would like to know if anyone knows what year it burned?
