They married in Van Zandt County, Texas and left there after 1900. They had three children, Horace Lee Baker, Dempsey Baker, and Barcey Baker. They were all born in Van Zandt County, TX. I found Dempsey buried at Hewett Cemetery in Carter Co. He died in 1903. Horace Lee went to West Texas and settle there. Barcy married in Carter Co. to David C. Holt. They remained in Carter Co. the rest of their lives and are buried at Hewett Cemetery as well. What happened to the parents, Tom and Ann? Anything would be appreciated. sibyl@vzinet.com

Am engaged in an on-going effort to trace the descendans of "Our CRAIG Family!" from the mid-1700's down through 1920 or so, for the benefit of future generations of family researchers. I just checked the Cemetery lists in Carter County. I found Hiram and Nancy Vincent buried in Provence Cemetery which is around Ardmore somewhere. Also, Robert Lee Vincent is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore. No information for "Art" Vincent. Danna

Elliott. I don't have a birth year but think he was born in Texas. He married Ellen Fairchild at Ravia, Oklahoma (Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory) in 1896. Thomas Reid was married to A (another source says the A is for Athea. I was never told this - she was my great-grandmother's sister). They lived in Berwyn,Carter County,Oklahoma, but you won't find it on any map. The name of the town was changed to Gene Autry (after the western star) sometime in the 1940's. Since you list Scroggins as one of the surnames you are researching, then I assume you know her maiden name was Scroggins. I have no information on the Reid family, only Scroggins. But I know they came from Conway County, Arkansas. If you want more information on the Scoggins line, please contact me.

She was born in about 1869 in Sevier County Arkansas to Eli HARRIS and Nancy STROUD TWEEDLE. The only date I have for her death is about 1962 or 1963 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma. She married ASA JUDSON PRUITT [date and place unknown]. Believe that the Pruitt ranch was about 7 miles west of Ardmore. Judson Pruitt and Mollie Harris had the following children: Hassie Sultana PRUITT who married Jeff CRADDOCK, Myrtle PRUITT who married a TANNER, Willard PRUITT, Fred PRUITT, and Polk or Pote PRUITT. Mollie was my grandmother's oldest sister. My grandmother was Maudie Dean HARRIS who married Arthur Thomas GRAY 12 Nov 1902 in Dequeen, Sevier County, Arkansas. Maudie was born Dec, 1885 in Sevier Co., AR and died June 1963 San Angelo, Tom Green County, TX. I have other information about my grandmother's family which I would happily share. I am very interested in learning anything I can about my grandmother's sister and would greatly appreciate any and all information and /or contacts with any one connected to this family.
