Hello Inez: I checked at the Chickasaw Library in Ardmore this afternoon, and they do not have microfilm for the newspapers you mentioned. Perhaps someone could check for you at the Ardmore City Library - or the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City might have microfilm of them. Good Luck, Anna Marie. ***************************** At 10:23 PM -0700 3/11/01, Inez Hagan Calley wrote: >Posted on: Carter County, Ok Query Forum >Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ok/Carter/11559 >Surname: HUNT >I found a listing of Newpapers for Carter Co. My mom will celebrate her 87th birthday on March 29th. She's still quite frisky most of the time and when the weather is good, she loves to go fishing. She also loves birthday cards. I feel kinda silly, never having done this before, but I want to invite everyone to send Mom a birthday card. Mom's maiden name was Rust. She married my dad, Herbert Caudle. After he died, she married O'Dell Jones. Her address is: Myrtle Jones HCR 70, Box 69 Ardmore, OK 73401 Mom will love it, and I will sure appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Bud Caudle in Guthrie, OK

Hello Bud: I sometimes look up obituaries for people when I go to the library - they have the Daily Ardmoreite on microfilm, but I must have a date within a month to search. Searching a whole year would be impossible. Please narrow it down and I will be happy to look it up for you. My suggestions _ The Carter County Cemetery Books states that John M. Vance is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery. Call 1-580-223-1747, and if they cannot give you the burial date they will give you the name of the mortuary. The mortuary will have the complete record, including date of death and date of burial. Let me know what you find out.
