I have a couple of PRUITTs that I haven't been able to place. These folks lived aorund Sorghum Flats for a while c1870-1890 or so. Eliza Josephina COURTNEY (b1854 AR) married an PRUITT and they had one daughter. After his death, she married his brother, THomas. Both Thomas and Eliza died around 1893. I understand that they worked for the railroad for a while. Their children were taken in by Eliza's grandmother, MAry Ann WILLIAMS COURTNEY, and raised around Hennepin (Murray Co.). Any chance your PRUITTs are tied in with mine?

Ok. They are: Mack R. Hearon 6-7-1898 to 1-19-1947 buried in Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore, Ok. The other one: Mary Ellen Hearron 2-3-1939 to 9-5-1985 buried in Mount Olive in Healdton, Ok. outside of Ardmore. I hope this helps. Bill

Washington school outside of Ardmore. My dad and his sisters all attended school there. My grandpa A.G. Smith was on the board of directors for the school. I would be glad to share info. Does anyone have any information about my grandparents? Their names were Abe Garfield Smith and Bertha Irene (Wright). They were not born in OK. as far as I know, but lived in Fox, Wilson, and north of Ardmore from at least 1925, prob. earlier to at least 1938. Anything you have would be valuable to me. Name misspelled on Headstone as M. A. Parker. He is my great-grandfather, but I can not find any information about him other than having his name on the marriage license application of my grandfather, Roy J. Parker. I am trying to find info on Marion so that I can try to find his father. Marion was married to a S.F. (Sarah Francis) Tullis from Texas. My aunt said that she thought Marion was born in Missouri then moved to Carter County. I know he was living there as early as 1912 because that's when grandpa was born. Any information that you can give will be of great help as I have hit a brick wall with Marion. It's as if he didn't exist. My aunt said she thought his father's name may have been Joe or Joseph, who could have had a half brother, Jim Parker, who was supposed to be half Choctaw Indian. None of this we have proof of.
