In answer to all those questions, go to: www.rootsweb.com/~okcarter/carter.htm Scroll down almost to bottom. There will be a block with "Cemetery Lists" and also a block that says Historical Museum (or words to that effect). You should be able to get your questions answered by one of those two things. Email me personally if you have trouble. Danna

Craig, Did anyone ever try to find out about the murder in the Ardmorite. Let me know, and if not, then I will look for you. Ruth
My great-uncle, George Washington Stone, was the "Superintendent of the X-Ray Dept." at Van Kellar Hospital in Ardmore in the early 1900's. I have not been able to find out anything about this particular hospital. George's wife's first name was Emma (don't know her maiden name). If anyone has any info on Van Kellar Hospital or George please let me know. Thank you!
Did your Sarah Copeland have a brother named William Grant Copeland who was married to Mary Jones?
After years of trying to figure out the SMITHS in these areas, I started gathering various SMITH information a few years back. I have a half of dozen SMITHs relatives in this area from 1860-1930 or so and am trying to sort them out, knowing that at least some of them have to be related. Well, I have entered all of my OK SMITH information from Carter, Garvin, Murray and Love Counties in a data base in order to better figure out family groups. I have about 250 SMITHs from these areas now. If you would like for me to check to see if your family is in my information or give me your information (outline with dates and location), I will enter it with your name as researcher. I am slowly working my way through the 1900 and 1910 census tracking all SMITHs. Someday I will get around to the 1920. I don't want to give you false hope as I haven't found a single match between researchers and these names yet, but the odds are bound to change. . . I am looking for the death record of a Margaret Boyd, maiden name & other information unknown, who was supposedly married to James Ashby Boyd sometime between 1880-1900, and any vital records of any sort for the 3 children supposedly born to this marriage, Forrest, John, and Allie Velda.
my gr grandparents also were John and America. My grandfather was Odie (Floyd's brother). I have the email address for a relative in Oklahoma who appears to have a great deal of info...if you haven't been in touch, as I notice your positing is over a year old.
