    3. Good Morning, I have just joined this list and hope maybe I can find some clues about my grandmother's family. I have absolutely nothing except their names to go on. My Dad's mother was Susan Elizabeth (Susie) Tindell/Tennell Crisp. She was born in IT in 1890 and died in Levelland TX in 1963. Susie's parents were John Henry Tindell/Tennell and Mattie Bell Waters. Her siblings were: George, b. 1889 TX; Emma b. 1891 TX married Elmer Pool; James C. b. 1895 IT; Anna b. 1897 IT; Rella b. 1899 IT married Cal Hensley; Benjamin b. 1902 IT, Edward b. 1904 IT; Rueben b. 1908 OK and Gladstone b. 1911 OK. When I was pretty young, I remember (and an uncle verified) my dad visited Ben in Atoka. Last year when I was in Atoka and Coal Counties, I briefly looked at the marriage books, and I think in Coal, is where I saw 2 or 3 records of Tindell/Tennell marriages, but didn't have time to check closer. I am just starting on this line, so haven't found them in the census yet. I use the 2 spelllings because on Susie's marriage record it stated Tindell, but the family has always pronounced it Tennell, so any records could be in either spelling and be the same person. If any of you happen to run across a Tindell/Tennell, Could you chase them my way, please? Thanks very much. And Thanks, Ruthie, for hosting this list.
